THIS NOT A WOT THIS IS NOT A WASTE OF TIME
A creative celebration of wasted time.

We are changing the perception of procrastination by proving that it is part of everyday life, therefore we should embrace it.

After all, time isn't wasted if you celebrate it.

Join us by contributing your stories of "wasted" time to this creative outlet. Please include your name, what you were avoiding/why you were "wasting" time and the outcome of this.

Enjoy yourself and spread the word.

I have been spending my time getting creative and made this mannequin by wrapping myself in duct tape and cutting myself out. Then stuffing it full of old newspaper and mounting it onto an old broom handle! =D

My goodness this blog makes me realise how much time i’ve “wasted” since coming to uni! I painted these two pictures at the start of the year to help fill the blank spaces alongside my clock! Took up a whole day but it was worth it =)

In first year I found a paint your own piggy bank kit in Wilkos. It was aimed at kids aged 6 but hey…I named him punky pig for obvious reasons =)

I made these tealight shades using:
regular paper
cellotape
pink lipstain
a black pen
a hole punch.
Very simple but very pretty! Great way to spend a few extra minutes!

My last exam of the year was looming so I gave myself an early treat in the form of a manicure plus funky nails =). This was achieved with baby pink nailpolish, a black sharpie pen and clear nail polish <3

Erm so what if I am avoiding work by seeing if Onion Rings crisps will stay hooked onto my tongue bar….it is an experiment that needs to happen! I tried a few times and they kept falling off and it was awkward, especially because as they fell the saliva would spray onto my housemate…She appreciated the art though.

I was procrastinating from revision by looking out the window and watching my neighbours who were also procrastinating by skating up and down the street on their skateboard….definitely not a necessary part of their degree!

So last time I posted I let you guys know about the extent to which we decided to troll my housemate by putting crackers in his pillow and so on.
Of course, I forgot to mention that the precedent and locus for this kind of behaviour was set over the couple of days where I made a concept album about my housemate.
The album was based on the fact that my house mate was brazen enough to steal a custard cream off me even though I had reiterated that this was something I rather he didn’t do. This was a fairly ballsy move on his part as it instilled in me a prolonged inspiration that led to the completion of the album.
The album is loosely based on the Mastodon album Crack The Skye, but instead of being about the spiritual journey of a paraplegic saved from the astral plane by Rasputin (awesome), it is about my housemate being banished to the depths of hell for stealing my favourite biscuit.
I won’t ruin the rest of the story as it can be heard here
This is and will probably continue to be the absolute peak of my artistic achievement. Since attempting to create more music has been a frustrating experience.
I guess in that way he wins a fair bit.

Unnecessary poster making. Nearly necessary….but definately not this extent, and using this many coloured pens.

toy cars or revision?
I should be revising for my “social life in egypt” exam tomorrow, but its too tempting to play with hot wheels toy cars, especially when one of them is a purple dodge challenger!

My mum sent this to me through the post…..so instead of just keeping it retro with cress seeds on a damp paper napkin you can use the germinator! And create a choice of forty different plants to use in salads…. delish! The instruction menu is about as long as my arm
